I am 24 but still have some baby teeth left in my mouth

Q. Hi, I am 24 but still have some baby teeth left in my mouth. In one circumstance this is because I do not have the adult tooth waiting to come down but this is not a problem at the moment. In the other instance my tooth to the left of my 2 front ones is still a baby tooth and the adult tooth has suddenly decided to come down. This is pushing my baby tooth out slowly. The dentist has advised me to speak to an orthodontist or consider an implant.I am terrified of braces and wonder if invisalign would be an option. I do not want an unsightly gap at the front of my mouth and I am also very nervous of the dentist. Could you please advise if there is anything that can be done for a single tooth to encourage it to come down straight and what interim measures can be taken to ensure that I do not have a big gap while I am waiting for the tooth to grow down? Thanks

A. There is limited help for you to disguise your gap whilst your toth erupts into the space left by the baby tooth.  You do not want to prevent the tooth coming down properly.  The only way to help a tooth to erupt in the correct place is to use an orthodontic brace
