I am 16 years old, i have severe TMJ, i was just wondeing if there was any operation or anything with my teeth that could help
Q. I am 16 years old, i have severe TMJ, and i have done for 4 years now. I have tried accupunture, botox, tablets and at the moment i am on2 15/100 co-codamol 4x a day, 1 dicfolenac 4x a day and 1 amitriptyline a day! I am also having physio and seeing a pyscologist, i was just wondeing if there was any operation or anything with my teeth that could help. As i’m sick of all these tablets and things not working. Thank you
A. Hi It sounds like you are having all the appropriate treatment however, are you wearing a hard bite raising appliance, this is the best treatment for TMJ disorders.
