How to get rid of the pain while removing braces?

Q. My teeth are very painful when the orthodontist uses the drill to remove brackets on my braces and i am apprehensive to have all my braces removed when ready. why would i have shooting pain? what can i do to prevent the pain when time to have removed. my doc just says i have sensitive teeth. i am very afraid to go back to the drill..

A. Your orthodontist could provide you with some sedative tablets to relax you and allow you to cope with the final stage of your treatment
