How Much Does Tooth Reduction Cost?

Q.
Hi,

I have been looking into getting my two front teeth filed down a bit for quite some time now. They are about 5 mm longer than the teeth at either side, so I would be looking to bring them a little more inline with them. I also have a white mark on my right tooth, which this would also help to remove a bit of.

Would you be able to provide me with some advice and possibly an idea of cost? Thank you.

A.
Hi, thanks for your question. Unfortunately it is impossible to quote you even roughly without seeing the situation. Reduction of tooth length has to be carefully done so as not to expose the inner parts of your teeth, and so that needs to be assessed. There are clear limitations to what is safe and 5 mm is a very large amount to remove. There may also be alternative treatments to consider.

Best wishes,  Mark.
