How Much Does Teeth Whitening Cost?

Q.
Hello Dr Hughes. I am looking to whiten my teeth, how much would that cost? My teeth are quite yellow and they are embarrassing. I don’t ever smile because I don’t want anyone to see them. I’m looking to whiten all my teeth so I am able to show them off to everyone. I have 2 or 3 broken teeth and it hurts when I brush them. I need advice please. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I hope that you’ll be able to answer my question and give me some advice. Thank you.

If you are in pain, please go and see a dentist immediately for an examination, diagnosis and advice. Your pain and dental health should be treated first before any whitening, as the whitening procedure itself can cause sensitivity which could be severe in broken teeth.

Whitening costs from as little as £200 for the most basic treatment and materials. Advanced treatments which include ‘in office’ techniques to speed the whole process up can be as much as £900. The treatment best for you will depend on how dark your teeth are, how sensitive they already are, the skill and experience of the dentist, the quality of the products and treatments used and how quickly you want to have it all completed. Not all whitening treatments are the same quality. Not all dentists have the same skill and experience.

Kind regards,  Mark.
