How many follow up appointments are necessary following jaw surgery?

Q. I am currently under going orthodontic treatment and they would like to do jaw surgery and move the top jaw up and bottom jaw forward. I have not met with the surgeon yet but have an appointment booked in February, however I would like to know once the surgery is done how many follow up appointments are necessary?,
A. Hi It is impossible for me to answer this question. This should be directed to the surgeon who is carrying out the surgery. Sorry I cant be of more help.
