How long does it take to become a cosmetic dentists or cosmetic surgeon
Q. Hello, Dr Butt I was wondering how long it takes to become a cosmetic dentists or a cosmetic surgeon and what the diffrence between the two? thankyou!
A. Hi
undergraduate study is 5 years
and postgrad is what you are willng to invest yourself imn my case another 5 years before i had a reputation in cosmetics
a cosmetic surgeon will be more involved with plastic surgery procedures ie nosejobs
whereas a cosmetc dentist will treat the head and neck areas with botox,fillers , veneers , chemical peels , so there is an overlap between the two the latter has a dental surgery degree and the former usually medicine
