How invasive is the veneers treatment?

Q. Dear Dr Glaister I am considering offering to pay for my son tohave his teeth improved.I know the process will be expensive so would like to research carefully. One question in particular concerns the invasive nature of porcelain veneers. What is your view about choosing porcelain veneers over less invasive options in terms of best results. Many thanks.,
A. It depends on what you are trying to achieve in the first place. Does he need tooth straightening or would he like his teeth to be lighter or just for all over aesthetics. This is a difficult questions to answer without knowing what the patient needs/wants. I’d be more than happy to see him for a consultation Justin Glaister

I have straight slightly small teeth. My two front teeth have sub standard 10 year old veneers. I want my top ten teeth re done and I was considering my lower bottom teeth as well. The lower 4 teeth are slightly crowded but straight ( I had braces when I was 15)
My dentist suggested a full mouth restoration to correct a sever over bite. I have no pain when I chew, I may grind my teeth a little bit when I sleep???? at least I used to as a child! I am 46. I have healthy gums and very white teeth. i probably should spend the money of getting my head examined first!!…But I want my teeth perfect and slightly larger. But, not fake perfect….Please advise
