How do you have to be to get your teeth whitened and can I get it done on the NHS?

Q. Hi, I was wondering how old you have to be to get your teeth whitened, i am nearly seventeen and if i would be able to get it on the NHS, i have glue from the braces i had 2 yrs ago which is visable.

A. Hi If the glue from the braces is still present i would ask your dentist or orthodontist to remove it for you first to improve the colour. Tooth whitening isn’t available on the NHS.
