How can the pressure be removed from a wisdom tooth to stop it from growing outwards?

Q. Hello, my boyfriends wisdom tooth is growing outward and into the cheek at the side. This causes him much pain on and off and has done for at least 5 years now. He has been to the dentist, but they said that they wouldn’t want to remove the tooth, because it could paralyse the face. Please can you tell me, can he have the tooth removed next to it, to take the pressure off the wisdom tooth and stop it growing into his cheek ? Many thanks, ,
A. Some Xrays to locate the nerves would be a good idea. If the General dentist cannot do the work ask for a referral to an Oral Surgeon or a Dental Hospital. Hope this Helps Rob
