How Can I Sort Out the Surface Scratch On My Tooth?
Q.
Hi. I noticed a faint surface scratch on my front tooth. I’m panicking that it’s going to crack or something. Is this normal? It’s hardly visible and it’s very faint. Could any toothpaste help or could it strengthen and disappear on it’s own? Also, someone told me that it could just be a natural line of the tooth. I’m very conscious of my teeth so hopefully I’m just worrying about nothing. I hope you can put my mind at rest. Thanks.

Hi, thank you for sending in your question. It’s probably just a naturally occurring ‘craze line’. It would be worth seeing an experienced dentist to make sure it’s not due to grinding and that it’s within normal limits of wear and tear. Best wishes, Mark.
