How can I get my sons tooth permanently fixed?

Q.
Dr Patel

My 8 year old son chipped the corner of his (adult) front tooth yesterday. We still have the broken piece of tooth.

What are our options for repairing this? We have him booked to see his regular dentist tomorrow to check that everything is OK but we’d like something that is relatively permanent while understanding that his teeth may still be moving and will get a little longer over the coming years.

Your are relatively local so were considering a visit if you can help! I would be very happy if you could give me some help and your opinion on this. Kind regards

It really depends on how much has broken the tooth needs to be xrayed and then monitored for about 12 months to check it is still developing. the warning signs are if the tooth starts to darken and there is pain. I would advise a softer diet for a while. the chipped should be able to be repaired. Please feel free to call my practice.
