Hi Mark, I Would Like To Straighten My Teeth Without Visible Braces. Any Advice Would Be Appreciated?

Q.
Hi Mark,
I am missing my UR2 tooth (since birth) and have a bridge connected to the UR3. It was also connected to the UR1 but that wing was removed by a dentist in May. Since then my UR1 has moved forwards and to the left and my UL1 has moved inwards and to the left as a result.
I would like to know about an implant/bridge for the UR2 and some way to straighten my teeth especially the front two now they have moved. But I don’t want visible braces, but Invisalign or similar is okay though.
Thank you, any advice would be appreciated.

If your teeth have moved since the bridge was altered it may be best to re-align them before making a new bridge or implant, to get the very best aesthetic result. I have done many cases this way. It always gets the best long term result when the teeth are correctly aligned and the replacement tooth can be made to the correct size and proportions

One way to do this is with Invisalign. Other types of braces that fit behind the teeth can also be used.

Then once you are happy with the space for the missing tooth and the positions of the teeth either side, it’s time to decide on the final restoration, either another type of bridge or an implant – retained crown.

In order for you to get the best advice, I’d advise a consultation with a dentist or clinic that can provide you with experts in all these treatments and they can plan and give you suitability advice from then. Regards, Mark.

Hi mark,
Thank you so much for the quick response, I agree with what you have recommended.
I would like to have a consultation with a dentist – can you recommend one near the Shoreditch area?
