Hello Mark. My Teeth Are Overcrowded. I’ve Been Told It’ll Take 10 Months To Fix. Can It Be Done Any Faster?

Q.
Hello Mark. My teeth are overcrowded. I would like straighter teeth in as little time as possible.

I have spoken with another dentists and they suggested ceramic or lingual for up to 10 months due to overcrowding. I was wondering if it’s possible to do it in less time, perhaps by filing down spaces between teeth or extractions?

I also have partially erupted wisdom teeth and was considering removing these too. Especially if it would help with straightening my teeth. Thank you!

Hi. By creating space more rapidly it ‘might’ be possible to speed things up but you must be aware that as we are dealing with the human body and biology it can be somewhat unpredictable. Also the more ‘perfect’ you wish your final result to be, the more time things will take to correct and refine your result.

You could consider the Acceledent system as well for more speed or Damon brackets on the outside rather than lingual?

Speak to your orthodontist again and make a list of things you’d like to discuss before you go in. Regards, Mark.
