Hello Dr Moore. I Would Like Some Expert Advice On How To Straighten My Crooked Teeth.

Q.
Hello Dr Moore. My enquiry is about my top front 6 teeth, which are in desperate need of some form of treatment as they are all crooked and one them is still a baby tooth and I am now 17 years old! The adult tooth that is meant to replace that tooth has grown above it on my gums and I don’t know what to do and what options I can choose. My dentist has done nothing and it has been a while now, it is really affecting me and I would appreciate some expert advice. Thank you and I look forward to your reply.

Hello and thank you for your enquiry. The first step is to see an orthodontist as it looks like you’ll need some sort of brace to pull the permanent tooth into the correct position. You may need the baby tooth removed first however. There are many different types of orthodontic system to choose from and you can familiarise yourself with the information on this website. If you are unhappy with your dentist, find another and one you feel comfortable talking too. I hope this helps to clarify your situation and you go on to achieve the smile your looking for. Best of luck, Dr Andrew Moore.
