A. I presume that you are enquiring about dental implants. It sounds worse than it actually is. The treatment is pretty straight forward. Yes, the bone is drilled- but you will be anaesthetised as you would a filling. The end result is a far better option than having a bridge- as a bridge will need to use the existing teeth in either side of the gap to house a false tooth. This could meen compromising 2 healthy teeth. Your options need to be considered carefully. I place many implants and my patients are always surprised by the implant procedure. Don’t listen to the horror stories. There are risks involved in all the dental treatments, but these are all discussed with you firstly.
