Q. Hi Dr Moore, My brother in law has a tooth on the right hand side of his mouth at the front which overlaps another. He has been told by his Dentist that he can not have the extra tooth removed as the roots are too deep into the gum. Is this definately the case, or is there any chance it could be safely removed. I look forward to your reply
A. It is always possible to remove a tooth, however sometimes the risk of removing it out weighs any potential benefits. He could try to seek a 2nd opinion maybe from a dentist with surgical experience Andrew
