For how long I need to have retainer?
Q. Hi, I’m four days into an Inman Aligner (upper only) and I’ve been told that I will need a retainer once the treatment is complete. How long will the retainer need to be worn? I’ve read somewhere that the it will need to be used for life. Many thanks.
A. I would recommend having a fixed retainer, a wire that sits on the back of your teeth once the teeth are straight I also make a removable retainer that you wear at night time. These are lifelong in my opinion.
