Due To A Bad Experience I Am Now Terrified Of The Dentist. I Don’t Know What To Do. Please Help?

Q.
Hi Marcus. My teeth are badly decayed that it’s got to the point that I cover my mouth when speaking and I am terrified of the dentist due to a bad experience. Even my children are embarrassed by my teeth. They started decaying when things went wrong in my life. My teeth are making me depressed I won’t even have a photo taken. I won’t even take or pick my little girl up from school in case someone speaks to me that I don’t know what to do please help.

Hello and thank you for getting in touch. The first thing for you to do is to conquer your fear of dentistry. You can do this by having a consultation without having dental treatment at that time and discussing all the options available to you and knowing where you stand with regard to treatment and costs. Try to find a dentist you feel totally comfortable with. You can begin to save up for treatment or work out some payment options from this grounding. It’s important to understanding that dentists see a wide range of dental conditions every day and although it may be embarrassing for you, it is just another day at the office for the dentist. Please seek help. Best wishes, Marcus Gambroudes.
