Does the Inman Aligner work on teeth that have been crowned previously

Q. hi there, i was wondering about the inman aligner brace. does this work if you have front crowns already fitted on your teeth. i have protruding front teeth and wondered if these crowns get damaged in the process. many thanks LQ

A. Hi L,

Using the Inman aligner or normal othodontics is possible on teeth which have crowns, however it depends on the type of crowns you have. If you have a post retained crown, then it might not be recommended to have any form of orthodontics to move the tooth as this can apply too much pressure on a tooth which is weakened already.
