Does implants not fix a denture with bone loss issues?

Q. I am due to begin work for a full upper denture on 17/11 due to the loss of all byt 4 of my upper teeth. This was due to gum disease causing bone loss, passed down from my parents! My dentist tells me that an implant to fix a denture in would not stay put due to bone loss? Is this correct? Glad I found this site, and someone to answer my question, thank you!

A. Implants can usually be placed but you may need bone grafting to increase the amount of bone available

Hello, After illness I need probably 4 upper jaw extractions this will leave me needing a full top denture. I cannot imagine wearing the type of denture I associate with my grandparents so I would like lifelike (no palate) denture secured by mini-implants that I hope can be implanted where the remaining teeth are coming out. I do not know of your practice but in the first instance can you give me an idea of cost to complete this procedure with avery lifelike and not mass-produced denture?
