Does a bridge help to prevent bone loss?
Q. Implants seem like a great solution to missing teeth but they are expensive and take a long time especially as I need bone grafts too. Would a bridge, say for my two front teeth slow done bone loss as much as implants?,
A. A bridge won’t stop bone loss as the bridge teeth sit on the gum and do not provide any stimulus to the bone. This stimulus the implant provides stops the bone shrinking back
