Do I need extraction orthodontics for forward front teeth gaps ?
Q. I am 24 years old. I have space between the forward teeth, they are forwardly placed as well.Is it necessary to get removed teeth for orthodontics treatment ? D
A. Hi D,
The problem you mention is very common, whilst I cannot say for certain without a clinical examination, if you have spacing present, then you should not need to have teeth removed just to correct the gap at the front.
Removal of teeth will probably be aimed at correcting something else, however recently orthodontics has advanced to allow for teeth to be moved without the need to extract, and now teeth are only removed in the most severe cases.
