Do I Need A Bigger Bridge?

Q.
I have a bridge with the front tooth missing therefore other front tooth and tooth at side of missing one being the bridge. my bridge has become loose and I have recently discovered that I have an infection in the other front tooth,i have been told i need a bigger bridge of 6 teeth which would include the 2 molars, my question is, is it necessary to grind down that amount of good teeth? The dentist said it would be because of the weight of the teeth. i have also been quoted 3,200 is this a reasonable price or should I look for another opinion?

Thanks for your questions. Have you been offered dental implants as another option? It’s hard to comment without knowing the exact situation. The value of the estimate would depend a lot on what level of quality you’d be getting with the new bridge, what it’s made of , how good it looks, how long it lasts etc. If you have doubts see another experienced cosmetic or restorative dentist for a second opinion

Best regards.
