Do I have to get a crown to my redone filling?
Q. Dear dr moore i had a filling done about 15 years ago which recently fell out and after visiting the dentist he put 2 pins in and refilled it, but now wants to put a crown on it, the tooth was the back upper one, i just wanted to know if i need to have it crowned or will it be alright if i leave it as it is. thankyou for your help
A. I would take advice from your dentist. It sounds like he has placed a foundation filling that will need a crown in the near future.

Dear doctor,
I just suffered sensitive teeth after my teeth filling done 3 weeks ago. My dentist told me it should be normal since the filling was ‘metal’ content, which will easy to transfer the triggers, like cold or hot feeling. Then I seeked help 3 times for the same complaint, He tried to remove the fillling, and ‘coated’ another material to the base then put the same metal content on it again, The small re-filling on one teeth now is ok, but still suffered me a lot on a refilled wisdom teeth. Is it really metal content hurt me? Will it be cured later? Should I remove the re-filling and change another material? Can the wisdom teeth tolerated the third time filling removal? Thanks for your attention.
