Could Invisalign be responsible for the increase in my jaw pain?

Q.
Hi, I recently had invisalign treatment to straighten my teeth. My consultant suggested that this might also improve my overbite, but it hasn’t made any discernable impact on that which was disappointing. What’s worse though, I have noticed that I’ve been getting more frequent and worse jaw pain since finishing my treatment. I’ve always had the odd twinge, which I put down to the fact that my bite’s off, but it is definitely worse – do you think the invisalign treatment could be the reason? Do you think surgery would be the best option?

Thanks in advance for your time.

For your case I would say that is a possiblity but it is always very difficult to make a proper diagnosis on your condition without the benefit of experience treating you. Probably you should go back to the dentist who carried out the treatment to ask for advice and help? Hope that is of at least some help to you.
