Could I Have An Upper Plate Attached With No Pallet? How Is This Achieved?

Q.
Hello Dr Moore. I really hope you can help me. I am a long-term denture wearer, I’m a little sick and tired of it in all honesty and I’m looking for options. I saw an advert recently which mentioned that you can have an upper plate with no pallet attached. Is this true? Do you think this would involve dental implants and if so at what costs would be involved? I’m new to all this, I’ve just really had to make do and put up with it really. I look forward to hearing from you anyway. Thank you.

Hello and welcome. It might involve dental implants or mini implants to stabilise the top denture such as the all-on-4 technique. The easiest thing to do is visit a cosmetic dentist in your area who can run you through each option. You should do a little research about what is involved, and you can find this information through this website. Each practice has different costs depending on the quality of materials and workmanship involved. I hope this helps answer your question. Best wishes, Dr Andrew Moore.
