Could I Have A New Bridge With More Teeth Fitted?

Q.
My top front teeth are two crowns with a bridge. They have lasted 26 years and have recently come out twice due to wear of the teeth they are fixed on to. My dentist advised me that my only option now is implants or dentures, I don’t really want either of these. Is it not possible to have a new bridge fitted with more teeth on the bridge. This would then be a crown at each side with four teeth on the bridge. or is this too many teeth for a bridge. Can any one advise me on this please?

Without examining you in person it’s impossible to give you an accurate answer but theoretically yes it might be possible to use different teeth and thus more teeth to be encompassed by a new bridge. I would advise an examination as soon as possible so you can explore your options. This way you will receive a comprehensive outline of a treatment plan and can decide whether or not you would like to go ahead with it from there.  Regards
