Could i have a labial frenectomy treatment to remove frenum creating my gap
Q. Hi there, I have a diastema at the front of my upper teeth and I believe this is being caused by my labial frenum being too low on my gums. I was wondering whether I could ask my dentist to perform a labial frenectomy to remove the frenum creating my gap. If so how much would this cost in the UK? and would it help my gap in the long run?, Thanks,
A.
Removal of the frenum is usually carried out after closure of a distema by orthodontic means.
My sons dentist told him he needs his labial frenum cut or he will lose his front teeth..Is this true?
