Cause for breaking down of top teeth

Q. Hi some of my top teeth are breaking down and the fragments have black on the inside what could cause this type of thing and why has it not affected my bottom teeth?

A. I guess the black marks are either stain or decay. Sometimes some teeth are affected before others, either way I would get them checked out as son as possible.
