Hi, I would like to ask a question regarding orthodontic treatment I had done when I was younger through the NHS, I had braces in for a few years and even had two top teeth taken out to make room for my teeth whilst my braces were on to straighten my teeth, after few years my teeth didn’t straighten much and I was told this was because I have baby roots and due to this my teeth aren’t moving therefore my braces were removed and I had fillings put in, in a few places in my teeth to get rid of gaps etc due to my teeth being takin out. I never had a gap in my front two teeth, but because I wore braces I now have a big gap and they always need to fill this in and say to me this is classed as cosmetic work and i keep explaining I never had a gap and it was caused by the orthodontic treatment which never worked, also the filling they put in only lasts few months and I have to keep getting this done, what I need to know is have you ever heard of baby roots and was this the case and if I did have them would braces still not work now that I’m 34, and what can I do to avoid paying for cosmetic work which wouldnt have needed doing if I didn’t have orthodontic treatment. many thanks

Tuesday, March 19th, 2013Hi. I am a 34 yr old male considering invisalign for my top and bottom teeth. I am wondering if any dentist who is trained can do the job or if it is preferable to see an orthodontiist? Since it is computer generated, it seems fool proof. However I know someone who has had quite a bad experience with a dentist recently and they were having braces done to straighten teeth. it doesn’t really strike me as the kind of thing that one can mess up. Obviously I don’t know about these treatments though, it’s just that I hadn’t really heard of braces being a source of bad news from a dentist. It always has seemed like the safest treatment that they can offer you in my mind. I suppose on of my questions would be, is there any chance that my teeth can be realigned incorrectly by a dentist? And, also I am wondering if invisalign, clear correct and simpli5 are comparable products? Thank you.

I would like to know the best method and cheapest way to fix my teeth. My two front teeth are overlapping badly, and this is causing overcrowding in my mouth. My teeth are not straight , some are crooked on my top row of teeth because of this overcrowding. Some of my teeth are slightly eroded on the bottom row due to acid erosion. My teeth are not aligned so there is discomfort when I bite and I also have some discolouring. I do not want to damage my teeth as they are at present fairly healthy but I want my teeth to be straight and the damage sorted out/ covered up. I was wondering which is the best course of treatment? How long does it last, and finally what would be the total cost of the treatments?

What Treatment Is Available For Stained Teeth Or Uneven Teeth?
Monday, January 7th, 2013I have a stain on my front tooth its a yellow big mark and the bottom of it is chipped as well. I was wondering what I need to do to fix this please. the rest of my teeth are also stained, I dont have any decays or fillings or anything too. I would also like it to be even and straight like a celebrities to be able to smile properly again without hiding my teeth. I would like to know about costs and what treatment it is that I need to get this sorted please. I dont want any teeth to be removed so I would like to keep my normal teeth but at the same time have a nice smile.
