Two dentists gave me different recommendations (Invisalign & Veneers) but can I have bonding instead?

Monday, September 20th, 2010
Q.
I have been to see two cosmetic dentists and both have recommended different treatments. Veneers and invisalign to correct the gap in my teeth. I do have a slight overbite too. My preferred option would be to get a white cosmetic bonding for now too correct the gap and save for say one of the other products. Is this possibe? Or once the bonding is in is that it?,

Q.
I am 18 at the moment and have never had braces. My teeth are not to bad but they are quite croocked, I really dont want train track type braces but have thought about an invisable brace but would rather a quicker solution. My teeth dont have any gaps but look more like they are over laying.,

Hello Dr, I was wondering if you could help me? For a while now I have been considering veneers as my two front teeth are slightly crooked and I am very self concious of this. I have also considered invisalign bt I have had braces in the past for an 8month period and after these were removed my teeth remused their original position. Could you please offer your opinion. Thank you,

I think I have an overbite and my teeth are wonky. Would Invisalign be a good option?

Wednesday, August 25th, 2010
Q.
Hi, I’m a 20 year old female considering Invisalign braces. None of my teeth from canine to canine touch and my front teeth are a bit wonky. Would they be any good? There is a good 5mm gap between them and I think I have an overbite too.,

I have gapped and misshapen teeth. Can you give me any advice on how to sort this out?

Tuesday, August 24th, 2010
Q.
I am unhappy with my teeth and I am unsure what would be the cheapest and most effective way of sorting them out. I am thinking of invisalign and also veneers. The problem I have is a small gap inbetween the front two teeth, and also each tooth either side of the main ones are smaller and one is misshapen. Could you give me any advice on how to sort it out?,

I feel that I was cheated out of money during my consultation. Was it unfair to charge extra, or is this normal practice?

Wednesday, August 18th, 2010
Q.
Hi, I recently went for a consultation to potentially get braces, hopefully the invisalign. I was aware that the cost of the consultation was £85, but during the meeting with the dentist I was told I would also need to have moulds taken to determine if the braces were suitable at a further cost of £180. Is this normal practise? I really felt like I had been put on the spot, that I would learn nothing from my £85 consultation without incurring a further cost of £185, just to find out if I the braces would be suitable for me. I felt cheated out of the money, as all I wanted was the consultation.,
