My top frount Right tooth got knocked out like 2&1/2 years ago. It was put back in because it came out root and all. But now it’s a off color kinda light brown and stands out when I smile. All I want is to be able to smile again but I am from a low income famly and revive medicade. What options do I have and how can I fix this problem ???

I have been having stained teeth since I was a child, I believe I had taken an antibiotic when I was little, which cause my discoloured teeth. I wonder if the teeth whitening at this stage can make a big improvement to my discoloured teeth.

Im a 23yr old ex smoker and i have some tooth staining but recently i have become paraniod that it is becoming more noticable. It also seems to vary from day to day and can often be alot worse in the mornings, with brown/yellow marks on my teeth but by the evening be whiter again. Would bleeching be an option?, it really only seems to affect my upper two front teeth. I have been looking into Veneers but obviously they can be very expensive.

I am having a home bleach treatment done prior to having two crowns replaced. My dentist has given me custom trays and gel to use for a fortnight before i have the crowns replaced. I have been using the gel at night for the last four days and the pain is bad. My dentist is on holiday at the moment and i wanted to ask can i use a tooth desensitiser product and would this affect the outcome of the whitening. Many Thanks sensitive toothpastes dont work

my front tooth roots are removed and i like to have teeth whitening which method is the best

I am considering having my teeth whitened but am not sure which method will work best and the costs involved. An accident when I was 10 (I’m now 32)meant I nearly lost my top right front tooth. I had to wear a gumshield for 4-5 months to stop it falling out, but I ultimately had to have the root removed 14 years ago as it was very sensitive. Since then it has just gotten more and more yellow and I’m quite unhappy with it. 3 years ago I had some minor internal bleaching treatment done where they drilled a whole in the back of my tooth near the root and packed it with some peroxide, which helped a little.

my husband has brown teeth caused by fluoride would whitening be an alternative to veneers

My husband had brown teeth possibly caused by fluoride or other treatments in the water which are added to make salt water drinkable. When he was 20 he saw a dentist and had his teeth whitened. This lasted 1 or 2 years then his teeth became more stained than previously. He is now 29 and very unhappy with his teeth. Our local dentist has sugested porcelain veneers to the upper 8 and lower 8 teeth at a cost of £3200. My concern is the cost and that they only last 5-10 years. Is there any way to undo the damage caused to his teeth? If he drinks fresh water for a number of years will this make any difference? What if he returned abroad would his teeth get worse? Would whitening be an alternative to veneers. Is it normal for whitened teeth to become worse than they were originally within 2 years? What treatment would you recommend? Thanks

Hi, I have quite nice looking teeth and they are not really yellow or majorly stained. I want to get them whitened just to brighten them up. One of my front teeth has had root canal treatment and has started to discolour. The structure of the tooth itself is fine, but it has started to look darker than the rest. I have been told by some people that you can’t whiten a ‘dead’ tooth. Can you advise me on this. It would seem such a shame to have to have a crown or false tooth when apart from the fact it is going darker, the tooth is fine. I have been reading on the internet and some sites say that you can whiten teeth that have had root canal? Can you advise me about what would be best and what kind of treatment would you recommend?
