I want a six month smile in Kent Essex

Friday, April 3rd, 2009
Q.
Hello. I hope you can help. I have quite crooked teeth and a potruding tooth at the top right. This affects my confidence greatly and I really would like a solution. Braces are extremely costly however I have been looking at the six month brace which is a great deal cheaper however, these all seem to be London based practices that offer this brace. Will I find it any closer to home? I live in Kent. I just want a nice smile!! Hope you can help. Many Thanks

Will the 6 month smile misalign my bite?

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009
Q.
Hello there, I’m going to be having the 6 month smile done next month, and I do have one question though, I guess I’m just having my top teeth done because I have a misaligned top tooth that really iritates me when I smile, but when I have this done will the whole procedure misalign my bite, my dentist only suggested doing my top teeth only but I’m wondering if I have just the top done will my bottom teeth not line up with the new top……….I’m a little confused and I need some reassurance from you please.

Is there a procedure I can take to have my teeth show even a little?

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009
Q.
Hi, everyone says that I have a sweet smile, but I noticed that when I smile, my teeth don’t show and even if I try, they still don’t show. When I talk they show a little but not like it does with normal people. I have tried reading around this and come across things like how the lip can be too long or teeth too short. I just don’t want it to seem like I don’t have any teeth. Is there a procedure I can take to have my teeth show even a little?

Hi there, I have been looking into inman alignment and 6 month smiles as options for teeth straightening. I know that results depend on each person but generally is one of these methods better than the other?

I have small upper lips and my teeth don’t show

Monday, March 23rd, 2009
Q.
Dear Dr I have an issue which has really affected my confidence and self esteem.Due to this i hate geting pics taken of myself. I actually have a very small mouth and thin upper lips and thts why when i talk , my teeth dont show at all…it seems i dont have teeth. and when i smile my lips dont stretch enough to make a proper smile, and my teeth dont show while smiling, if i really force myself, they show a little bit but then my face looks distraughted, and my nose expands alot( i already have a wide nose). People keep asking me to smile a big and teethy smile for the camera, but i just cant because no matter how much i try my teeth wont show like they do in other peoples smiles. Pls help me out with my problem and tell me if there is any solution to it. (I have inherited small lips from my father.) Thanks.

Is it possible to have any gaps between teeth filled in at the same time as having veneers fitted and also if it is possible to have my smile widened?

Sunday, March 22nd, 2009
Q.
Hello, I was wondering if it was possible to have any gaps between teeth filled in at the same time as having veneers fitted and also if it is possible to have my smile widened? my teeth are in an absolutely terrible state and my fear of dentists has stopped me going regularly, i have had a couple of really bad experiences with dentists and have been very ill after 12 Major operations over the past 15 years. unfortunately, because of the amount of painkillers and other tablets i have been on, approx 36 tablets a day, i was not aware when i was suffering any tooth pain and have subsequently lost a lot of my teeth. I am not long out of hospital after a bad bout of Pneumonia and have cut down massively on my tablet income, i feel my illnesses have had my best years and i’ve always been so self concious of my teeth i would like to have a complete makeover of mouth!! I’m sorry to have gone on a bit but if you could help me i would be very gratefull, thank you in advance for aswering my questions and giving me any advice.

after a smile makeover will my mouth look smaller than it does now

Wednesday, March 11th, 2009
Q.
Hello , I have a question about a smile makeover. I have the dracula teeth(on my upper jaw) sticking out and they make it difficult for me to shut my mouth after smiling because the ends of my mouth don’t shut especially when my dracula teeth are dry. So I am thinking of having this procedure but one thing still bugs me. If my dracula teeth get fixed , and they get pushed back, will my mouth look smaller than it does now? If so, is there any way to have my teeth fixed without this side effect? Thank you. I am looking forward to your reply.

I was totally dental phobic as a child due to bad

Monday, November 3rd, 2008
Q.
I was totally dental phobic as a child due to bad expereinces at the dentist with tooth extractions and, as a consequence, I never wore a brace. Now, as a result, I have severely crowded teeth. The 4 front teeth (incisors?) aren’t really affected and are relatively straight but the canine teeth stick out Dracula-like to the extent that I can’t bite on them at all and they poke through my lips if I smile. There is really very little gap between the second insisors and the premolars next to them and the canines stick out above them. Can anything be done for me? I don’t want to wear a brace at my age (early 40s) and think my only hope is to have the canines removed and try to do something with the remaining teeth. My teeth really are the bane of my life and have made my life a complete misery over the years. It seems to be getting worse lately and is making me quite depressed and is having a real negative effect on my life to the point that I feel quite depressed most of the time. They are on my mind constantly and I have no one to really share all this anxiety with as I feel so embarrassed about my teeth I won’t draw attention to them. I even change the subject if anyone so much as mentions teeth! I feel that if I could get my teeth fixed all this would stop and I could finally enjoy my life and actually smile and not feel scared or embarrassed to smile. Nowadays, I read about all the marvellous advances in cosmetic dentistry and I think more and more that a few thousand pounds spent on my teeth would be money well spent if it made me feel that my life was worth living. To me, to have teeth that I didn’t feel embarrassed to show the world would be better than wining the lottery. Can you help or advise?
