My dentist says I need braces, but my teeth are fine. What should I do and is it possible to have Invisible braces?

Monday, August 23rd, 2010
Q.
I’m 15 and my dentist wants me to have braces although two other dentists have said my teeth are fine and I have already had seven teeth out to prevent the need of braces. What should I do and is it possible to have invisible braces instead?,

Will treatments such as Six Month Smiles or Invisalign ever be be available on the NHS?

Tuesday, August 3rd, 2010
Q.
Hi, will either 6 month smiles or invisalgin ever be available on the nhs? I have heard that 6 month smiles are both cheaper and quicker than the braces that you can get on the nhs, while this may not be correct, if it is, will they ever be available on the nhs? Thanks.,

Dentists are giving me different verdicts about Invisalign, but which one is true?

Monday, August 2nd, 2010
Q.
Dear Dr Andrew, could you please advise regarding invisalign. I have been to 2 dentists regarding that. the first dentist showed me cases where upper and lower teeth when together showed a huge gap (where you can put several pensils in there) and how imvisalign completely corrected that to straight teeth. My teeth have a very minor gap. another dentist said that invisalign will straighten the teeth only by 60%. but the first dentist showed 100% straightening. which one is true? 100% or 60%?,

Are there any other discrete braces options to Invisalign, as I was told I cannot have this treatment?

Tuesday, July 13th, 2010
Q.
Hi there, i really need to straighten my teeth, however i dread to have conventional braces as I am at an age which i think it will look embarassing! I work in a senior role which involves presentations and I am becoming very conscious about my teeth, I had braces when i was young but my dentist did not do a good job! I am thinking invisalign, i did visit one dentist and he said it would not be possible with my teeth without a good reason. Waht do i do, are there any other discreet options. Help please. Thanks,

Can invisalign help shift the gaps from tooth extractions?

Tuesday, July 6th, 2010
Q.
Dear Dr Moore The midline of my upper teeth is shifted to the right side due to a tooth extraction. It looks awful. I wonder if invisalign could be used to move them back in their place or just correct them so it would not be so visible. Many thanks for your advise in advance.,

Hi, i am looking into getting a brace option and have been quoted a dearer price for invisalign over clear step. I’m confused as to which one will do the best job, can you advise?,
