My lower teeth are very gappy can I have train tracks braces

Tuesday, July 1st, 2008
Q.
I have perfectly healthy teeth, but only 24 of them so are consequently very gappy teeth – in parts my lower teeth are in front of my upper. I really dont want veneers- as I dont want to destroy my teeth, and even so have been told the gaps are too wide. i have been told train tracks are the only option. At 38, I really want to avoid this. would invisalign be strong enough to move my teeth- is there an alternative . Do I need to live near the dentist? I am really stuck!

Q.
On the top row of my teeth, I have a small gap in the front and a two small gaps one side. Roughly how much will it cost in total if I use invisalign?

I have had an underbite and discoloured teeth all my life

Saturday, June 28th, 2008
Q.
I would like to know if a problem i have had all my life can be corrected, to boost my confidence and smile without embarrassment. I am 47 years old, i have a underbite and feel that there is still some movement as my front top teeth are appearing off center and my facial appearance is changing, and to top it all off i have always had discoloured teeth.

My invisalign is uncomfortable and painful

Saturday, June 28th, 2008
Q.
I have just been fitted with an invisalign brace, with the hope of shifting my lower front teeth to fill a gap where I lost a tooth. I am very unhappy with the aligner because it is very uncomfortable (a sharp bit of plastic digs into the underside of my tongue) and I have found it difficult to sleep. And now, having read some of the Q&As on this site, I see that you do not recommend the invasalign system for shifting teeth (I currently have a gap right at the front). Is this correct – and should the aligner be more comfortable?

I have overcrowded front teeth will invisalign or veneers correct this

Saturday, May 31st, 2008
Q.
Hi. I have overcrowding on my top row teeth, just the front 6. This has made the front two forward, the next to either side pushed back and then the next two forward. I was wondering if invisalign would be suitable treatment, or if veneers could correct this.

My upper teeth are crooked and twisted but cannot have metal braces will invisalign work

Saturday, May 31st, 2008
Q.
My upper teeth care slightly crooked at the front. I had braces as a child but have been told that the orthodondist used old fashioned techniques that often go wrong. The two teeth immediately on either side of my two front teeth are slightly twisted round and sit a bit behind them. I have attempted braces about a year ago but as an adult can\’t really deal with having them, not being able to speak etc. However, I really want straight teeth (especially having already gone through so much pain, extractions etc to get them!). Do you think the invisalign braces would work for me? Thanks in advance.

My teeth don’t show when I smile and my top tooth needs braces

Thursday, May 29th, 2008
Q.
I have two questions:
1) The tooth adjacent to my middle top two teeth is at an angle and allows air though when I trying to say ‘s’ and as a result makes it difficult for me to speak correctly. I am 42 so can this tooth be straightened with a brace or would it require a crown or are there other alternatives?2) When smiling my teeth don’t show, I think I have short gums. Can anything be done so that my teeth show when I smile? Many thanks.

My second tooth is missing would invisilgn open a gap for a implant

Thursday, May 29th, 2008
Q.
I’m a 21 and my teeth have really started to bother me. My second tooth at the top is missing (it just never grew) and the rest of my upper teeth have spread to fill the gap, I therefore need a brace to make a space for an implant to replace the missing tooth. Would invisilgn treat this? or if not a brace that goes behind the tooth? as I really don\’t want visible braces. My bottom teeth are a little crowded and could do with straightening so would it be possoble to get invisilign for these even if i have to have more severe treatment on top? I know that a lot of information but would you take a guess at a rough estimate in price and length of treatment?
