My dentist suggesting a denture what should I do?

Tuesday, October 20th, 2009
Q.
I have a crown that has totally come away from the gum including the post. i was told I had an abcess but that has proved to be incorrect. I was also told I have piro disease, I am unsure as to whether or not this is true. My dentist is suggesting a denture but I believe my teeth are healthy enough to sustain bridging work. What should I do?

Tuesday, October 20th, 2009
Q.
Hi. I was womdering if you could help me. I have recently had all my teeth removed but wasnt offered immediate dentures so have gone without teeth for quite a while. I have had impressions made and have had the wax moulds done. How long does it take from that stage to actually having teeth? and are the wax moulds bigger than the dentures i will have because i couldnt close my mouth with the wax ones and they felt very thick. Thanks for your time.a>

How soon will the implant procedure can be completed?

Tuesday, October 20th, 2009
Q.
My mother has just (on friday) had the rest of her upper teeth extracted after the front 6 were bridged ten years ago and unfortunately came loose a few months ago. Her dentist has provided her with dentures that are very lifelike but unbearable for her to live with. Dentures are not an option in her mind at present with her being a young 57 year old. We are exploring the avenue of implants and possibly implants with a bridge. how soon will this be able to be completed? We understand there are healing processes from the initial extraction and the implant procedure…but can you give us some kind of idea. thank you. kind regards.

What are the options other than implant and plate Plz advice

Monday, October 19th, 2009
Q.
Hi Dr Caplan 24 years ago i had 4 crowns fitted, my teeth were uneven before the crowns so the dentist inserted metal posts into my gums the new crowns were fab since then i have had a root canal filling due to reacurring abscess which took several hours 3 years ago one of the metal posts dropped out the dentist did some alterations to the crown and put the post in place he told me it could last one week one month or maybe years depending on how i looked after it and he would not be able to do any further repairs and my options would be a inplant or a denture the post has dropped out again it is next to sound tooth and a crown ,what are my options i cannot afford a inplant and do not want a plate thank you

How can I get rid of ulsers Plz advice

Monday, October 19th, 2009
Q.
Recently had four inplants, prungs, on the front bottom. I am getting ulsers or sores on back side. How can I get rid of the ulsers to see if it the dentures I am wearing. You see, I had to wear my old dentures a week after the inplants. And could not take them out. The drilled holes in them to take the four prungs. I recently had new dentures. They told me try them for awhile. After the ulsers heal, we can see if the dentures work or fit. How can I get rid of these ulsers. I take them out at home so air hits the ulsers/ Rince my mouth out with warm salt water aand even rinced with peroxide… yuk Please advise. I had the dental work at aaffordable dentures.
