My front teeth are crowded and protrude but due to short roots i have been advised against braces, any advice?

Tuesday, April 12th, 2011
Q.

Hello sir, i have very short roots on my front two teeth and have accordingly been advised against getting braces. My front teeth are slightly crowded, protruding by about 3.5mm. I am wondering about getting veneers to slightly reduce this, as i am an actor and aesthetics are very important to me. I have read of new dentin bonding technologies that allow veneers to correct such a problem, and was just wondering if you thought this was a wise idea. Any advise would be greatly appreciated- thanks alot

I’d like veneers to make me feel better about my teeth, but can’t afford them, what can I do instead?

Q.

My teeth are so bad that I will not look somebody in the eye when making conversation. I clean my teeth twice daily use the little brushes to clean in between my teeth and they still look terrible. I would like veneers but can not afford them, what do you suggest? I think about my teeth allday, everyday..

Which type of veneers are best for lower teeth?

Friday, April 8th, 2011
Q.

Which type of veneers are most appropriate for lower teeth? I have heard that the new, thinner (non-prep?) veneers cannot be used for lower teeth due to stresses exerted on them during biting. Is this correct?

What is the best set of veneers on the market?

Thursday, April 7th, 2011
Q.

Hi, I’ve had pitted enamel on my teeth all my life, which makes them look so yellow and I’m fed up with feeling self-conscious about smiling. Where can I get a good, trusted set of veneers? And is there a payment scheme around, as I’m a student?
Thanjs

My doctor has suggest two option to create my perfect smile, a brace or root canal surgery. Which is the better option?

Thursday, April 7th, 2011
Q.

Hi
I have been having consultations with a dentits. He was going to fit several crowns and veneers with a bridge to create a perfect smile. However he has said today after taking molds that one of my teeth is too crooked and that really I need braces onit. I cant afford this and it would take years. He said the only alternative was to do a root canal kill off the tooth and put a porcelain veneer on top, he said there were risks and it was un ethical, but as I still seemed interested he would do it for me. To me any type of purely cosmetric dentistry is invasive and could be seen as unethical. Do you think it is ok to carry on with this? inorder to achieve what I set out to do or is it too much of a risk? Many thanks
