Dear Dr Caplan I am 49 years old and have substantial bone loss top and bottom jaws. I have in the past been referred to the dental section of Torbay hospital and now I have my teeth strapped upper and lower. Last year I had some xrays taken and my then dentist thought that there might be enough bone for implants but I would need quite a few I think. I believe the cost would be very expensive but the thought of dentures makes me so depressed. I wondered if you might be able to give me an indication on time span and cost if that my be possible. I have neglected my teeth of rmany years. I ahve had partial dentures since age 14. Now that dentistry has advanced so far I think it is time to get sorted. Is it possible to have top front implants after all this time? I think I would need six, any idea what the cost might be?
