My crown on the last lower right molar was done about 10 years ago. One dentist told me it there could be problem with it but leave it alone if it’s not bothering you, another said it needed to be restored because there appeared to be leakage but I needed to see an endodontist.. I decided to restore it. A post had been placed in the tooth previous. Endodontist starts drilling and discovered the roots were filled with gold (can you believe it, gold) and the crown is like one unit and there is a risk of tooth breakage if they try to remove the crown. The attempt to remove the gold was futile and I was told just leave it alone. The tooth has a temporary patch. Of course I don’t want to lose my tooth. My osteoporosis makes pulling a tooth somewhat risker. The tooth was not bothing me and I hope it continues not to, but my fear is that it will develop decay. I need the crown filled now, can this be done? Is this the only solution?

Thursday, May 12th, 2011 I have a crown which was loose and my dentist informs me it is the post it is on which is the problem. It has been there for a long time – a new tooth was fitted probably 10/15 years ago onto exsisting post.
What are my options to have it replaced – it is near the front.
I am also on pension credit guarentee which means I don’t pay for dental work. If necessary could I offer to pay to have something done.
The veneers and crowns my dentist has given me are the wrong colour. What can be done?
Thursday, May 12th, 2011Hi, I am in the middle of some cosmetic work and worried about final result. I have had an implant to lateral incisor to replace old Maryland bridge,( I never had an adult tooth here) and am having 3 veneersto the other incisors. I wasn’t happy at the fitting – the implant crown was fixed on and the veners temporarily set on – to me the colour of the veneers was obviously wrong – everything was made D2 – the colour match of the crown is perfect except that in some lights a grey shadow from the implant post shows through. And the veneers looked too yellow. the dentist and technician insisted that they were all a perfect match. I agee that the crown was a perfect match – except for the problem of the grey shadow – but the veneers were not! The dentist was quite annoyed and said this was what I had chosen. They are now going to remake everything in B2 . I am so worried about the final result – if the veneers had been the same colour as the crown I would have been happy. An additional problem is that the gum at the implant site is very high so when I smile broadly I have one obviously long tooth – my bridge had a pink margin at the top to minimize this. I am so worried abouth the next visit.
My teeth are extremely senstive after crown and veneer treatment. Why?

i would like to ask you regarding to a problem that i have with a crown and veneer. i have just fited a crown and veneer recently but the problem have started since the day i fited them. with the veneer tooth i cant even bite at all, and if i touch it hurts like a bruise in a body. the crown one i feel a gap in the right hand side of the tooth and everytime i breath i feel pain because of that or eat smth cold or hot it hurts like a nerve. i have been several times to my dentist which thinks that everything is perfect and try to find the cause to other teeths. well for the crown one i use to have it before in crown but the dentist decided to replace it with new one for the veneer to match better. i must emphasise that when this tooth was on crown before didnt had any problem and felt like your own tooth.i m not using this teeth(crown and veneer at all) as they both are painfull and is a bigg thing for me as i cant chew nothing. could you please let me know your opinion in that!
My crowns have fallen out, can I get them rebonded?
Thursday, May 12th, 2011Both of my dental crowns just came off tonight after having them put on about 10 years ago following a dual root canal on the two molars immediately behind my canine tooth. Is it possible to have my dental crowns rebond ? If it is possible, how much does it usually cost to have them re-bonded? If it isn’t possible, what are my other options? At the moment, there is no pain, but I am freaking out alot because I can feel my teeth that had been ground down.
I am 23 years old and would like cosmetic treatment for baby teeth. Is this possible?

I have not lost my baby tooth (central incisor!!) and it doesn’t have any roots and it’s quite strong as well! But I was wondering to go through some cosmetic surgery as there’s a gap there.
I would really appreciate if you could help and write me your personal opinion on this as my dentist recommended to not to get rid of if as long as it’s strong.

Thursday, May 12th, 2011I had a tooth capped in November 2009. Shortly afterward i started experiencing a dull pain around that area of the mouth and gums; an uncomfortable pulse in the capped tooth and facial pain radiating from my cheekbone under my eye to that tooth. I have had many visits to doctor and dentist. My GP ruled out sinus problems and gave nme antibiotics as a precaution. Dentist has taken out a good tooth next to capped tooth in case this was causing problem; refilled teeth with new style filling in case this causing problem; and 2 weeks ago took out capped tooth although he said he could see nothing wrong there. I still have a dreadful ache and occasional; shooting pains around that area. My teeth on that side of my face ache and i cannot eat on that side without severe pain. I am desperate and do not want to loose any more good teeth. Help.
I am unhappy with the crown and gum contouring my dentist has given me, what can I do?
Tuesday, May 10th, 2011I have been attending a private practioner & after some gum contouring I have now been fitted with my permanent lava crowns x11. I have had other work done by the same dentist in the last year & have never been satisfied with the results, now after the final fitting I’m really unhappy I felt pressured into accepting them even though they were not made to my specifics i.e. too long & too narrow. She shortened the 2 front ones but the canines are different lengths & so are the premolars! Can they be shortened? & is it normal for all the front teeth to be a different colour to the back teeth? B1 & then from premolars back B2 she said this would look more natural!!!! But instead I look as if I have bad teeth to the side. Any advice would be appreciated.
I just want a perfect smile. Can you help me?
Monday, May 9th, 2011hi there my front two teeth are pushed forward (protruding) and the bottom ones are crowded but there is no chance i will were braces and willing to go along with any other procedure and also have a ten thousend pound budget what can be done for me the quikist way possible please mate can crowns and veneers do the trick like i said there is no way i will were any sort of braces i just want something that will look decent it dosent have to be a hollywood stunner just so i can smile for once please help me i am in deseprate need of some help like i said my budget is ten thousand pounds so is there any alternative to braces ?
