Saturday, June 20th, 2009
Q.
I have had 2 bridges fitted to the back of my mouth and one has come off twice in the last 12 months and my dentist cant fit me in for another 4 weeks. Also i have a few crowns and one has come 6 times in 14 months and it still has a gap at the top which still traps food in it. I did point this out to my dentist when he fitted it but he said it was the best fit i would get.I also have what i think is a ulcer on my gums to the top which fills up with yellow puss and blood. As i am really not happy with the work that has been done on my teeth would like to know as to were i go to have all his work checked out as i have had a very lot done in the last 2 years many thanks. k

I had a post of centre tooth snap Is it possible to have the centre root section and a crown fitted

Saturday, June 20th, 2009
Q.
I have had my front 3 teeth capped for several years but have recently had the post of the centre tooth snap. I have been told of the options but wonder why I have to have the root removed, use a temporary denture for three months, and then have a bridge fitted. Is is not possible to leave the centre root section in and make the centre of the crown fit into it as it would if there was a post.

I have no bone in my gums to have bridge is monroe procedure the best way to go?

Friday, June 19th, 2009
Q.
Hello, thank you for your time. I had lost my front tooth as a child. Later on they gave me a partial for my front tooth. I was told I have no bone in my gums to have a bridge. I heard of a procedure called and monroe procedure?? Where they have a tooth with metal on the sides of it and it would anchor off my other teeth. Is this the best way to go?? I cannot get bone augmentation to get a bridge. Do you have any suggestions??? THANK YOU

Ive a bridge on 3 of my front teeth now ive a bad pain in the tooth is okay to remove the bridge

Friday, June 19th, 2009
Q.
Hi.My 3 front teeth are false. 1 tooth has no root as it was damaged by being hit by a hockey stick. So i had to have a bridge on 3 of my front teeth, which meant that the 2 teeth on either side of the broken tooth had to be trimmed down to get the bridge on. I have had this bridge now for about 20 years with no problems. But now i have had really bad pain in 1 of the teeth that was trimmed down. I am really depressed as the dentist has said that he needs to do root canal treatment, either by a hole in the back of the crown or by removing all the bridge and getting a new one, which could cost £600. My main concern is that, is it a good idea to remove the bridge that i have had for 20 years, and get a new one that might not be as strong? Please help!

I had an molar extracted and now my upper front teeth are sensitive and uncomfortable

Wednesday, June 17th, 2009
Q.
Hi I had an upper back molar extracted three weeks ago. I had dry socket there after but after a week of dressings this has since gone. I am however feeling a slight sensitive sensation in my 2 upper front teeth and it is uncomfortable sleeping as my bite seems to have changed, my teeth do not seem to rest together properly. I am rinsing with a salt water rinse. I am having a bridge in 3 months time, is this normal?
