Hi i hope you can help, I have a bridge on my 3 front teeth,26 yrs old. one tooth has already had a root filling which was done 25 yrs ago , today my dentist had told me the other tooth needs a root filling done, its very painfull & sensitive. my concern is, is this the right treatment given how old the bridge is. i also have osteoporosis and am having intravenus treatment once a year for this, is it safe to have a root filling done. thankyou

Ive five tooth bridge fitted but one of my crowns wasnt fitted snuggly into the gum can u advice?

Thursday, July 2nd, 2009
Q.
Dear Dr i recently had a five tooth bridge fitted, two of the teeth are false, three are abutments. I was pleased with the overall appearance of the bridge, however a couple of days later, i noticed one of the crowns wasn’t fitted snuggly into the gum line as the other two, i even saw a small gap, i revisted the dentist who fitted bridge and he said it looked fine to him and being he has 46 years experience in dentistry and a good rep, i decided not to pursue my concern any further. However, a few weeks on i was still seeing the gap, and food fragments were dissappearing under the gum line, and reappearing the next day along with saliva, lastly, today i found the gap although still looking small, has dropped down enough for me to actually place a finger nail over the top of the crown.I plan to revisit the dentist and tell him all what i’ve told you, my question is, would any reputable dentist ignore this situation? yours sincerely

My dentist dropped some glue called pamp bond for my bridges is this a proper glue to secure it

Sunday, June 28th, 2009
Q.
Dr Moore, I am having major dental bridge construction to both left and right front teeth. 6 teeth to right and 5 to left sides. My dentist dropped some glue called Pamp Bond into my mouth and a 1 inch piece got lodged into back of my mouth. The glue is also foul tasting. Is this glue a proper glue for use to secure the temporary bridge. I am concerned for my health.

My bridge unit has a very slight wobble or rocking movement is this ok?

Friday, June 26th, 2009
Q.
I have a 4 unit bridge on the upper right of my mouth- this was fitted at the end of 2006 and I clean it well and floss underneath. I have been aware for quite some time of a very slight “wobble” or “rocking” movement when I apply pressure to one side or the other. Is this Ok? there is no pain and it it seems very securely fixed on to my teeth- is it just that there is a two tooth space between the actual teeth holding the bridge? I could not affor a new one and my dentist doesn’t seem overly concerned about it. Please advise

Ive a problem with my dentist matching up my bridge shape and colour can u advise

Friday, June 26th, 2009
Q.
Hi i am having a problem with my dentist matching up my bridge shape and colour the last time it was cemented perm in my mouth making this a very painful situation the next time will be the 3rd time. I dont mind the returns to obtain the best results how ever i am concirned after my last visit i ended up with an ulcerated gum around the bridge, I had all my top crowns replaced tooth whitening on my lower teeth and have spent quite a lot of money already at the dentist. And on a previous visit after five hours between the dentist and hygenist became very ill and needed the paramedics out. I am getting reluctant about these visits.

My perm bridge was glued with temp glue because it did not fit and it pains what do i do?

Friday, June 26th, 2009
Q.
I have a perm. bridge over my top teeth toward the back of my mouth. It was glued with a temp glue bec. it did not fit & the dentist intended to take it off & replace with perm glue (the bite is off). (This is my 2nd attempt w/the same dentist. They took 1st crown off bec. it did not fit and bec. of the sensitivity to hot & pain with a bite.) This bridge feels the same-pain w/bite, sensitivity and now it hurts even more after they recently unsuccessfully tried to take it off. They sent me back home & said to chew something and come back in 2 weeks and they will send it back to lab to add more material to it. I never had any trouble with any of these teeth before they put 1st bridge in January 08. X-ray does not show root inflammation. I can’t chew anything bec. it gives me pain & headache for most of my day and I am afraid to glue this bridge w/perm glue. Please help. I am at the end of my rope… What do I do? What are my options? Do I let them glue it w/perm glue? Thank you for your time.
