i have 4 missing upper teeth in a line including my “eye tooth, i do have 2 good teeth at the back and front of them however, i want to know if i could have a bonded 4 tooth bridge or a bridge that is fixed to my natural teeth without the need for crowns?
and if so what is the time line for this work and an approximate ball park figure price. i dont want to have dentures if possible as i would prefer a solution that is more permenant.

My dentist suggested that I have a plate form implant, are there any alternative options for me?
Thursday, August 16th, 2012Hello, I have recently knocked my front tooth, which is a crown and managed to damage the root! My dentist has recommend I have the tooth removed and replaced with a plate with one tooth .Is it necessary to have to have a plate? I am horrified by this suggestion and wondered if I could have a bridge instead? I have discussed an implant, but many of my friends have had all their front teeth bridged and feel it is the better option. I really don’t fancy the surgery that goes with the plate. My teeth either side of this crown are okay,I would appreciate your recommendation before I have this tooth removed. Thank you.
I’ve been told I have gum disease and the tooth where my bridge is has become loose. What can I do?
Wednesday, August 1st, 2012Due to an eye tooth never appearing I had a bridge approx 15 years ago. My dentist has today told me I have gum disease and the tooth that my bridge is fixed on is loose and will in time drop out! Great news as I have been having regular check ups every six months for as long as I can remember and this is the first time there has been a problem.
Would I be able to have an implant with a bridge and if so, how much would it be?
Would a bridge be best for replacing my old crowns?
Tuesday, June 26th, 2012 i want my top front 2 crowns replacing and possibly the ones at either side. would a bridge be best or would replacement crowns.i had my crowns put in 18 years ago and have never liked them. ive always smiled with my lips closed. one of my adjacent teeth is loose due to gum disease.
i,d also like to have them whitened, but theres too many procedures to choose from and i don,t know which will get the best results
I have several missing teeth would I be a suitable candidate for dental bridge treatment?
Thursday, April 19th, 2012Hello, I am interested in dental bridge work. My 2 front teeth are part porcelain composite, now discoloured. the 2 teeth immediately to the left and right of my front teeth have been extracted and I have been offered a pallet by my dentist which I don’t want. Do you think I would be a suitable candidate for dental bridge work? If so, how much might it cost? My teeth status, is not good lots of non-visible missing teeth. I also suffer acid erosion due to acute gastric problems which is treated. Also I’m am almost 60 years old.Thank you – I live in Liverpool UK
Is there any way to save my veneers, even though my teeth are decayed?
Monday, April 16th, 2012I have two veneers on front and side tooth and have a cavity behind the side tooth that is excruciating. The dentist said they think it is too far gone to save and want to remove both veneers and possibly do a bridge since the tooth is so decayed. What will they put in place until the bridge is ready and is it necessary to remove both veneers and how do they remove the veneers? They also mention doing root canals on the one tooth but aren’t sure until they remove the veneers. Can’t they put veneers back on somehow? thank you for your time Doctor Moore, I hope to hear from you soon
Do I really need to have my tooth removed when it doesn’t actually hurt?
Friday, February 10th, 2012 My crown has fallen out and after visiting a dentist I was told that my root filling is not all the way to the end of the root.
The root filling and crown were fited about 20 years ago. I have had no pain from the tooth. The dentist tried to drill out the old root filling but told me it was not possible to do so as the ‘cement’ is too hard to drill through.
She doesnt want to put a new crown on top. (Actually I also still have the old crown which she also doesnt want to stick back in). Instead she has recomended that I have a bridge, but I am not keen on damaging healthy teeth on either side.
I am totally confused and considering a second opinion when I came accross this website.
Is it so bad to have a root filling not to the end. I have not ever had any pain from this tooth since the crown was fitted all those years ago.
What can you recomend?
Many thanks in advance.
I am not happy with the shape of my bridge, can I have it changed?
Wednesday, January 4th, 2012Hi – I am having a fixed bridge across my 7 front teeth. I went to have this fitted yesterday but didn’t due to the fact I was not happy with the appearance. Teeth 1&2 are too rounded in shape at the sides & the fronts of the teeth are to rounded or bevelled. Is it too late for the lab to change these? I don’t want to look as though I have brought a set of hollywood teeth. I just want to have healthy looking natural teeth. I think these look fake. Any advice would be appreciated. Many thanks
