Would I be able to get all the dental work to fix my jaw alignment done under general anaesthetic?

Tuesday, December 7th, 2010
Q.

Hi,
I am interested in looking into cosmetic dentistry. I was offered a brace to correct my overbite when i was younger i wasnt ready at the time for the procedure. This was becasue after x-raying me they found that ~I would need to have an opperation to break my jaw to realign my over bite as my jaw bone bite has moved forward. I would also need a brace to strightne my teeth. Would i be able to have this whole procedure inculding all dental work where teeth made need to be removed for a brace under general anesthtic? Is this a procdure that your practice could offer to me? Many thanks

I need my teeth to be whiter and straighter quickly, what should I do?

Saturday, December 4th, 2010
Q.

I would just like some advice in relation to straightening and whitening my teeth.

I work in the Cosmetic Surgery industry and I am aware that there is no such thing as a “qucik fix”. However I am hoping for one!! My top front 2 teeth are crossed and I would like them straightened, I have looked into invisalign, however, I am not enamoured at wearing the gumsheilds for months on end and wondered if I would be able to create the appearance of straight teeth with veneers?

I am happy with the shape of my teeth its just my smile is slightly flawed, with them being crossed. Would it be wise to whiten once I have straightened? I once had some form of whitening in my lunch hour that was a complete waste of time and money and has left my teeth very sensitive- Beyond White was the product I believe?

I look forward to your response x

I was punched in the mouth and this caused my teeth to be knocked out of place, what are the chances that I will be able to keep the teeth?

Saturday, December 4th, 2010
Q.

I was recently punched in the mouth, forcing my top teeth quite far back but not out completely.

It was 5 hours later that I was able to receive emergency treatment at the hospital and my teeth were forced back into the correct position.

I was able to get to a dentist some 24 hours after the teeth were put back in place.

The dentist took xrays etc but said he was unable to do anything at that point in time ie. until swelling had gone down and he could see if the teeth would set back in well.

What are the chances that I will be able to keep my own two front teeth?

And if they have to come out what are the options for replacement and costings etc?

Thanks

I am considering a smile makeover but would like to know if I can find a suitable denture first, which ones are available to me?

Saturday, December 4th, 2010
Q.

Hi. I have had peridontal disease and had it treated and suffered extreme gum recession, in particular over the front 4 teeth. I also have a a wire that is holding my front teeth in place and this wire is “in filled”. I absolutely hate my smile as my teeth look very long and have gaps in the top where this is no gum there. I really think I would like to have a cosmetic makeover and have the front 4 teeth removed. I am always told “hang on to your teeth as long as you can” but if you have a horrible smile you dont want too. I also wear a small partial denture on the top as I had two teeth removed at the back of my mouth. I would have a denture, but I dont want those thick ones – are there any other types on the market?

Two different dentists have advised two different methods of tooth correction, how do I know which one to pick?

Saturday, December 4th, 2010
Q.

My Husband has fairly small stumpy teeth which have a space between each tooth. They are also discoloured. To correct this 2 dentists within the same practice advised of different approaches to rectifying this both pricey. My questions are: How do you judge best advice if you are advised of 2 different methods of correction? Also how do you know a dentists true capabilities especially when we hear of dentists who were fakes?
