I Don’t Like My Big Front Teeth, Is There Some Kind Of Financial Plan That Can Help Me Get Them Fixed?

Wednesday, September 25th, 2013
Q.

Hi, I’m 27 years old and have big teeth, my top two front teeth are also very forward! Making me look goofy if you like. I hate having my photo taken because they stick out so much and I have really have had enough as it makes me very depressed. I did have a brace that you could take in and out when I was 12 year old but I didn’t wear it! What can be done about this problem? A rough price? Is there some kind of payment plan I can get as this would be preferred.

Hello Dr, I Would Like To Get An Implant, Can You Tell Me How Long They Last?

Wednesday, September 25th, 2013
Q.

Hello Dr Bohara. I have a front tooth missing and I’ve wanted to know how much it will cost to have treatment to close the gap.

I was born like that without the tooth and for cosmetic reasons I was thinking of filing that gap in as it is starting to bother me. Do you know also know whether it is a good idea to do this and if I was to get this treatment and fill the gap how long can the implanted tooth take before it gets loose as I am thirty years old and worry that I may have to pay for a new one.

Thank you. I really hope to hear from you soon and maybe also to make an appointment for the procedure.

I Have Confidence Issues After Getting Bullied For The Gap Between My Front Teeth.

Tuesday, September 24th, 2013
Q.

Hi, Dr Patel. I currently have this gap between my two front teeth and it’s really getting me down as I got bullied a lot in school when I was younger for it and it’s just really knocked my confidence. I have been to my dentist and mentioned it a lot of times and she has just changed the subject which isn’t helpful. It’s not very big at all, but I really want something done about it sooner rather than later as a want to go on to a modelling career, please help me, any advise would be much appreciated as this problem has gone on too long for me. Thank you very much, it would be great to hear from you and obtain some advice.

I’d Like To Know If I Can Use Super-Glue To Fix My Maryland Bridge Back In Place?

Friday, September 20th, 2013
Q.

Hello Dr Shaffie, after one of my Maryland bridges fell off, I would like to know if I can fix it back in place with super-glue. The reason I want to do this is that I don’t have dental insurance and I have a very low paying job making it difficult to afford. So I want to know if it’s okay to use super glue to glue back the Maryland bridge. Secondly I want to know if fluoride in toothpaste is healthy for your teeth. Some people I’ve heard have said it’s not very healthy. What would you advise me to do? I would appreciate your advice on these matters.

Please Help Dr, I Have Gaps In My Teeth And I’m Afraid To Smile, What Can I Do?

Thursday, September 19th, 2013
Q.

Please Dr Patel, I am 16 years old and I had one of my incisors removed at the age of 12 because I had a tooth which was not growing under the gum but above it. Up until now that tooth has not grown and I only have two incisors on my upper jaw. One out of the two, which I mentioned earlier and the other one removed and has refused to grow. I also have gaps in between my teeth. Please doctor I really need your help with this, it’s really been hard for me to smile in the past four years because I don’t want people to get disgusted as that is how disgusting I feel my dentition currently is. Thank you, I hope you can provide me with any information or advice.

I Have A Couple Of Chipped Teeth From Playing Rugby But I’m Worried It Could Cost Upward Of Twenty Thousand To Get The Smile I Used To Have?

Wednesday, September 18th, 2013
Q.

I chipped my front four teeth in rugby and apparently I brushed my teeth too hard as a child, my teeth are perfectly straight, I just want to fix the chips and nicks in my front four teeth and whiten them all so I can have the smile I used to have and feel confident again, how much do you think it will cost, it’s all relatively minor work, and then some whitening because my teeth are frustratingly resistant to home whitening, my teeth were perfect until I banged them up playing sports now the front four are chipped, I was worried when I saw these 20,000 dollar price-tags but my local dentist says there is really nothing he can do for me, any information or advice?

I Have Two White Marks On My Teeth, Will Whitening Just Make It Worse?

Tuesday, September 17th, 2013
Q.

My adult teeth have two white marks on the two front teeth that have been there ever since they grew. I don’t think they are stains, rather they are in built into my teeth. I hate them so much, they have ruined my confidence and I will not smile in photos because of them.
Will teeth whitening work? Or will I have to go down a more costly route? I have read online that apparently teeth whitening will just make the marks more prominent but if the tooth around the mark is white too then surely the white mark will not be as bad it is now?
I would prefer to go down the less costly route however any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I’m Worried That My Teeth Will Be Different Lengths As I Have Fangs That Are Shorter, What Can Be Done?

Friday, September 13th, 2013
Q.

Hi Mark,

I would like some advice regarding what would be the most effective and least harmful option for my teeth. I have done a lot of research, however it is very difficult to find the best option.

My top front teeth have two “fangs” either side which are slightly shorter than the four front teeth and stick out more than the others. What would you suggest is the best option to sort this? I am worried that my teeth will all be different lengths if I have these two “fangs” sorted out and do not do something with the others?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

I Fell And Broke My Front Teeth A Couple Of Days Ago, I’m Worried My Dentist Wants Me To Wait For Five Weeks. Is This Right?

Wednesday, September 4th, 2013
Q.

Hi Andrew, my problem is that I fell and broke my two front teeth in half five days ago. My lips and face are still slightly swollen from the fall, but I do not have any tooth ache or sensitivity with any of my teeth. I do not know what options I have as my dentist has told me to wait five weeks before getting X-rays. I am worried that this is really a long time to wait and my options may be even more limited. I am 21 years old and would like to keep my natural teeth, depending on their condition I know, but I do not know if five weeks is too long to wait for an assessment. What would my options be regarding treatment and what you recommend?

I Need My Teeth Straightened After A Fight But I’m Worried They Might Crack, Could This Happen?

Monday, September 2nd, 2013
Q.

Hiya,

Let me first start by saying how it started, a few years ago when I was 16, I got into a fight and got punched in the mouth, it landed on my front upper tooth and now it’s been pushed back, it’s not major problem but I would like it straightened again so it will line up with the rest of my teeth, the only problem is that I am worried about is if there is crack across the centre of the tooth, would it still be able to be straightened? The crack isn’t major but it’s still there and I worry everyday that if I bite into something hard it could crack completely. Any help and advice will be appreciated, obviously I will not attempt to straighten it myself, I just want to know if it’s worth me making a trip to a cosmetic dentist?

Thanks.
