Sunday, October 4th, 2009
Q.
Hi, I had two composite fillings in my two front teeth a month ago…I wanted to know, if i wanted to get braces how would that affect my teeth…aslo the tooth that had the most composite in it, feels slightly thinner (in width) than the other. It feels as if its not as durable as the other, like its more prone to breakage; would u give me some advice pleasseeee!!! Thank You

Ive been having pain on tooth and ear after the root canal pls advice?

Sunday, October 4th, 2009
Q.
My right side lower molar tooth had a big filling. My NHS dentist decide to put a crown over it in Jan this year. My tooth was fine then. This led to the root canal treatment which took place in March. I had a lots pain and decided to see an endodontics and had it done second time at 2nd of April. Since then I still have the pain on the tooth and ear pain, face pain and upper teeth sore on the same side. I have been back to see him twice and he insist that the tooth is ok but is the muscle or the incorrect way of biting causing the problem. I’d like to seek your advice (The crown has not being put in yet)

My dentist recommended me to see the specialist for the root canal advice?

Sunday, October 4th, 2009
Q.
Hi I have had an abcess on one of my front teeth for about 6 weeks. I had 3 courses of antibiotics and have now started having root treatment with my own dentist, there is also still a lump over the top of it but it has gone considerably smaller since the root treatment started. At my last visit she recommended that I see a specialist to have this treatment done. Does this mean that it is really bad and I could lose my tooth. Thanks

what can I do to get the worn teeth repaired and what would be the cost?

Sunday, October 4th, 2009
Q.
I have very worn teeth where they meet the gum line. My own dentist does not seem interested in doing anything about it or referring me to someone who can. It is very noticeable when I smile plus I am worried they are just getting worse. I would rather avoid having veneers if possible but have heard that white filling can be used. So my question really is what can I do to get the worn teeth repaired and how much would it cost?

would I need to restraightened my front teeth before Ive my bridges replaced?

Sunday, October 4th, 2009
Q.
As a teenager I had extensive orthodontist work so that my teeth were perfectly straightened. On both side of my two front teeth I have a false tooth which is attached with a one-winged maryland bridge. Although 7 years on they haven’t yet (touch wood) dropped out I’m looking to have them replaced. I’d like to get my teeth whitened and then replaced but am concerned if I do this that overtime my bridges will stay perfectly white while my teeth may stain again. Also since I finished all my orthodontist work, my two front teeth have become slightly misaligned which I think may be the reason why my bridges don’t fit as well. Would I need to have them re straightened before I have my bridges replaced? Thank you

My mouth is crowded with teeth so should I need to go bridges or braces?

Sunday, October 4th, 2009
Q.
I have a dilemma. i knew i needed braces since i was 13, but when it came time to do it i backed out for asthetic reasons and i didnt want to be picked on in school. now im 24 years old and im angry with myself because my teeth are still crooked and they could have been straight a long time ago. now theres another problem..im getting a sore jaw because of the pressure of my teeth. i had a consultation a few years ago to get invisaligne, but the dentist told me because of the position of my front tooth i would have to go with the traditional braces-or-he could pull the crooked teeth out and go with a bridge. im really not sure what to do…my mouth is so crowded with teeth i have a slight speech impediment and i really have to concentrate not to lisp or mumble..and i fear if i get braces it will make it even worse. do you think going with a bridge would be a good idea??
