Okay to leave fallen out dental crown until dentist returns?

Thursday, January 7th, 2010
Q.
My crown has fallen out (back tooth) but my dentist is away from the practice for another week. I don’t really want to see a locum as my own dentist puts me at ease. As I’m not experiencing any pain/discomfort (yet!) will I cause further damage by waiting for my dentist’s return?,

Do you have any advice to help daughter with removable expander?

Thursday, January 7th, 2010
Q.
Dear Dr Glaister My 8 year old daughter has been fitted with a removeable upper expander for a crossbite. She needs to initially wear it for 2 hours a day. I can’t even get her to wear it for 5 minutes as she says her mouth fills up with water. She has not managed to put it in herself either (she panics and cries). She returns to school on the 11th Jan and I would like her to be comfortable with it by then and speaking correctly. Do you have any advice? Many thanks.,

I had fixed braces from age 13-16 and have since worn

Sunday, January 3rd, 2010
Q.
Hello there, I had fixed braces from age 13-16 and have since worn a retainer one night per week. I am now 20 and upon noticing 2 of my front teeth were becoming slightly crooked in a short period of time i visited my dentist to ask what it could be. After taking a xray she showed me that my wisdom teeth are coming through and are applying pressure to my other teeth causing them to move. She suggested i increase the wear of my retainer to every night, however i believe my teeth are still moving.Would it be possible to undergo removal although the wisdom teeth are causing me no other problems as i am financially unable to have orthadontist treatment for a second time as i am a student. I am aware of all possible side affects etc. I’d be very grateful for any advice.

I need something to be placed there but not sure on what i need. any help would be grateful. Also i have 2 fangs and a gap on my top teeth which i would like something done about.
