Hello,
I’m 16 years old and am considering paying to have my teeth whitened (mainly for cosmetic reasons, but also because I think my teeth are more yellow than most peoples, and some of my teeth vary in colour compared to the other ones and I would like to even this out), however I’m worry that starting to whiten my teeth at this age could be damaging in the long term. Will having them professionally whiten them have negative effects in the future or will they just … age as normal? :p
Thanks

What treatment could you recommend for my front tooth with is both chipped and discoloured?
Thursday, April 7th, 2011 I had an accident 2 years ago where i chipped my front tooth, my denist fixed the tooth but it now has a brown line through the middle of it and the top part looks grey in colour, it makes me really unhappy as everytime i smile that is all you can see. I also have quite a few fillings which i would like of possible to be changed to white ones?
I am looking to see how much this would cost me to have done.

My doctor has suggest two option to create my perfect smile, a brace or root canal surgery. Which is the better option?
Thursday, April 7th, 2011 Hi
I have been having consultations with a dentits. He was going to fit several crowns and veneers with a bridge to create a perfect smile. However he has said today after taking molds that one of my teeth is too crooked and that really I need braces onit. I cant afford this and it would take years. He said the only alternative was to do a root canal kill off the tooth and put a porcelain veneer on top, he said there were risks and it was un ethical, but as I still seemed interested he would do it for me. To me any type of purely cosmetric dentistry is invasive and could be seen as unethical. Do you think it is ok to carry on with this? inorder to achieve what I set out to do or is it too much of a risk? Many thanks

I had a swollen lump drained and now it is back and bigger, is it an abscess?
Tuesday, April 5th, 2011I have had a lump just under my nose but in the gum line since june 2010. My dentist thought it was an abscess when she exrayed it nd gave me antibiotics and drilled a whole through my crown so the absess could drain. It did g down but never went completely. Now it is back and even bigger. I am worried it might not be a absess. Should she now not refer me to hospital. ?
