I Had To Have Most Of My Teeth Taken Out After An Abscess, What Can I Do To Get My Confidence Back?

Hi Dr Shaffie, I’ve just had treatment for an abscess on my tooth at the back of my mouth, that has led the hospital to take all my teeth out barring six. Now I can’t eat or speak properly I am so upset and I have lost my confidence of going out or even going to work. I think I’m going to need to get porcelain veneers or implants. I’m not sure what’s best for me and what the best options are because the last six teeth I have also need to come out as well because they are rotten so it will be a full set upper and lower. I really hope you can help me with this so any advice will be greatly received. Many thanks.

I Want Straight And Attractive Teeth, What Is The Best Option For Me?

Hi there, Dr Shaffie. I have had to google the names of each tooth so please bare with me haha. Basically, my upper right lateral incisor grew in behind the front row and so I had it removed, but now both my upper central incisor, left lateral incisor and both canine teeth are all crooked. My question is what would be my best option here and at what price would you estimate? Basically I would like to end up with 6 upper front teeth (including the tooth that was removed) looking straight and attractive as possible, thank you. I really hope you can get back to me.

I’d Like To Know If I Can Use Super-Glue To Fix My Maryland Bridge Back In Place?

Hello Dr Shaffie, after one of my Maryland bridges fell off, I would like to know if I can fix it back in place with super-glue. The reason I want to do this is that I don’t have dental insurance and I have a very low paying job making it difficult to afford. So I want to know if it’s okay to use super glue to glue back the Maryland bridge. Secondly I want to know if fluoride in toothpaste is healthy for your teeth. Some people I’ve heard have said it’s not very healthy. What would you advise me to do? I would appreciate your advice on these matters.

I Have Very Little Enamel On My Teeth, Can There Really Be Nothing Done To Make Them Straight And White?

Hi, Dr Shaffie. My mum was ill when she was pregnant with me and the medication she took made my adult teeth come through with very little enamel on them. My dentist told me there was nothing that could be done to make them white. I had braces when I was a teenager but I was told that my jaw needed breaking for the teeth to stay straight and my dentist said that wiring my jaw shut meant my teeth wouldn’t get the proper cleaning they needed and because of my lack of enamel and they’d rot. So now I’m stick with yellow crooked teeth. Is there really nothing that can be done? I would literally do anything to have lovely straight white teeth. I really hope you can help me with this. Thank You.

I Want The Perfect Smile, What Is The Best Way I Can Achieve This?

Hello, most of my teeth are straight (Apart from one tooth which the bottom of the tooth very, very slightly overlaps the tooth next to it. Nobody notices it but I do and know it’s there) and not very discoloured, however I want ‘The perfect smile’ so I have been considering having Lumineers for a while now but was just wondering two things.
1. How much roughly am I looking at spending for a full set (I know it will vary from person to person) but just a rough figure.
2. Can you choose how white you want them? As I would want them white, white.

I Have A Crown That Doesn’t Match And Is Starting To Give Me Pain, Will I Have To Start Again From Scratch?

Hello Dr Shaffie, I’d like to discuss with you and tell you that I have a crown on my tooth next to the main front one up the top, when it was done it wasn’t ever matching and I had it done over two years ago, it’s just starting to give me pain and I’m not sure why this is? I would really like the crown replaced with a much better match, can they use the same crown and change the colour or do I have to start from scratch? I’ve changed dentist as since having the crown they wouldn’t sort it out for me when I wasn’t too happy with it, I paid 350 for the crown and I feel very self conscious and I feel like I can never show my teeth to anyone in public. Will My Wisdom Teeth Close The Widening Gap Between My Front Teeth?

I have a gap between my top front two teeth, over the past years I have noticed that it has increased. I am worried that it may carry on increasing and widen the gap. I do not like it at all and it’s worrying me as I’m noticing myself becoming less confident in social situations which is a big no-no as I love seeing friends. My wisdom teeth has started coming out at the bottom but not the top. Am not sure if my wisdom teeth will decrease the gap or make it worse. However if I wanted to get it treated how much would it cost and which treatment would be best for me.

How Can I Straighten My Single Crooked Tooth?

Hello, out of all my teeth I have one tooth at the front that is a bit crooked and I want to have it straightened. Although I don’t want to have to go through the whole process of having braces just for this one tooth because its not worth it. Do you know if there are any other options I could take just to straighten this one tooth? It is at the front of my mouth and all of my other teeth are absolutely fine which is why i want to get this one seen too. if you know any treatments that i could straighten it without going through too much hassle that would be great. Would An Implant Work For My Broken Tooth?

I have a broken off tooth, which i am told cannot be crowned because it is below the gum line, what is available treatment and cost bearing in mind the tooth next to it is crowned. If an implant is the answer will it affect the tooth next to it.Is there any other solution and can i have the rest of the teeth whitened. Hello Dr, I am 42 years old and i continuously brush my teeth yet they keep on rotting and i do not know why. I brush my teeth in the morning and before i go to my bed. I have filled many of my teeth. Please help me. I brush my teeth in multiple ways, like circles and up and down an side ways. All of my mother’s teeth have fallen out and she has dentures in and also my brother. I am really distraught and would like to know what could be the cause of this because my confidence is being affected quite badly and I’m scared of what could happen in the future considering my mother and brother’s situations.
