Hi, I’ve been wearing a full top denture for about ten years I’ve just had a new set made and they are much longer than my old set and they also protrude slightly so I look a bit goofy. My dentist just said they would take a bit of getting used to, Is there anything that can be done about this please? Also from the side it looks like I’ve got a badly swollen lip and I can’t talk properly. My last set were made at the same practice and they were great, only my family know I wear dentures as they are so good. Now I look like the donkey out of Shrek. This can’t be right can it? Is a libial frenectomy necessary before placing an implant in the front upper jaw? Or is the frenectomy necessary just for the sake of fitting a partial denture, as in my case? As my local dentist performed frenectomy, saying that it was very much essential before placing an implant. I have lost a single tooth at the front upper region. I’ve had braces before and in my opinion were taken off before the teeth were fully ‘perfect’ I have quite yellow teeth and two central veneers which are starting to become uncomfortable as I think I have an over bite a lot of the teeth are fillings but feel gappy, and my gums are tender. Ideally I’m looking for the perfect smile but I would also like to improve the overall heath and sensitivity of my gums and smile. The question I would like to ask is: What work would need to be done and how much would it cost?
Help me! I am so terrified of the dentist and pain that I feel sick just talking about it but I really need to go. I started having root canal four years ago bit never went back to get it filled and now my tooth
has completely broken off and I think I have an abscess there now. I must need about 20 fillings more root canal teeth out, I want to get my teeth right and I want a brace and my teeth are all stained too. I am so embarrassed to go because they have got so bad I don’t want to end up with no teeth. What treatments can you offer me? I’m terrified of needles too I’ve tried “laughing gas” but it didn’t work, I also tried hypnotherapy but that didn’t work! Please help I think my teeth are letting me down in my line of work.
Hi, I’ve recently had 4 crowns fitted on my upper 4 front teeth.
I thought they looked okay before I had them cemented in place but after a few days with them I’ve come to the conclusion they are too long. Other people have commented on this also. They are also brighter than my other teeth, but this was not so noticeable in the dentist chair and I know that can not be fixed now.
I was wondering is it possible to have Zirconia crowns shortened and reshaped at the bottom and if so by how much, 1mm maybe?
When my mother was living I had what my dentist use to call the perfect smile. My mother use to make sure I took extra good care of my teeth. She use to always say your smile is the first thing people see so you should always care about your smile. When she passed away I completely stopped caring for my teeth. I barely brushed them and I hardly ever flossed, I never liked doing that anyway as my mom use to do that. But I was wondering If I have really rotten teeth and some that have broken off, is it still possible for me to have a beautiful smile again like I use to when I was Fourteen.
Hi, I have started to notice what I think is dental fluorosis on my front two teeth. I have two dark lines appearing on my two front teeth and a little line on the tooth next to front tooth. I have looked into it online and wondered if you think teeth whitening is the best option first? I know another option is veneers but I am only 20 and think whitening might be a better option. I have got a dentist appointment but it is not for 2 weeks so just wanted some advice and a separate opinion when I ask my regular dentist.

Hello, I had braces and took them off myself and on my front tooth some of the glue did not come off so it scraped it off and it has took a small part out in the middle of my tooth. The small dip after every meal or drink goes yellow, so how can I get around this problem? (I brush twice daily, once in the morning and once at night before bed) any help would be fantastic I’ve started brushing even more recently to try get rid of the problem but nothing seems to work and obviously is knocking on my confidence a bit. Thank you for any advice you can offer.
